Every new diet starts out great, right? You watch every bite and count every calorie, point, and carb. But then you fall off the wagon and before you know it, you’re bingeing salty potato chips, peanut butter cups, and mint chocolate ice cream.
This constant change and up-and-down days are what earned the term “yo-yo” diet. You’ve probably been on it before.
And just like a yo-yo, diets leave you spinning and a little bit dizzy.
A few good days of progress can easily be undone in a single binge. Even if you’ve been sticking to your diet for a while, a binge puts you right back at the beginning and you have to start again.
So now you want to know how to stay consistent with your diet. But it’s a struggle when diets put you into a box and tell you to bid farewell to your favorite foods forever.
Good news, sis! Diets are never the answer. They’re impossible to maintain long-term. Plus, the constant back and forth of dieting and binging will leave you feeling discouraged and stuck.
Consistency is key in any situation where you hope to build a new habit or routine. As it turns out, eating healthy and losing weight are no exception.
Let’s talk about how you can get rid of the diet yo-yo and learn how to be consistent in your diet. Walk in food freedom and stop bingeing for good!
