Tips to Navigate Nighttime Cravings

Dinner is over. The dishes are cleared away and the kitchen is clean. Now, there are four hours left before you hit the hay.

What are you going to do?

Your body is telling you it needs a snack. So, you start your nighttime wandering. From the pantry to the fridge and back again.

Surely you’ll find a snack that will satisfy your salty craving. Or your sweet craving. Or the craving you don’t understand.

For some reason the period of time between the last meal of the day and bedtime is fraught with temptation.

You followed your healthy eating plan all day. Skipped the donuts in the breakroom. Drank enough water to make your eyeballs float.

But in these final hours of the day, you’re tempted to throw it all away and eat a little snack. You can start again tomorrow, right?

Nighttime cravings are a real struggle. The truth is, your days are often really busy. Moving from activity to activity keeps you occupied. Most of the time that means you’re not thinking only about food.
