3 Inspiring Tips for When You Feel Weight Loss Discouragement

You thought you’d be further along by now. When you first started your healthy eating journey, the weight came off smoothly.

But over time, it’s slowed down a little. Some weeks pass and you see no loss at all. Then comes that dreaded bump in the number on the scale.

It’s not large, and you know it’s not permanent. But it’s enough to make you feel weight loss discouragement.

Suddenly, your hope and confidence are replaced with doubt. Instead of seeing all the progress you’ve made, the faith you’ve gained, and the weight you’ve lost, you see only that number—the one that’s higher than you hoped.

Now, if this was your best friend’s story with you and she told you she felt like giving up, you’d be quick to offer encouragement. You’d remind her of how far she’s come. You’d remind her of where she started and of all the victories she’s won, on the scale and off.

But it’s harder to do that for yourself.
