How to Align Your Weight Loss Goals and Values

How do you want people to remember you?

It’s a pretty deep question, and maybe one you can’t answer quickly. But it’s vital to think about when you want to align your weight loss goals with your values.

We talk a lot about connecting our weight loss goals to our purpose and values. But what does it mean, and how can you put it into practice in your daily life?

When you know the things you want people to remember about you, you’ll know your true values. Those are the things that really matter in your life.

For example, maybe you want to be known as kind, generous, or caring. These character traits are lasting and important.

But how do those values matter for weight loss?

Knowing your values helps you identify the true reason why you want to lose weight. And when you know that, you can tap into an inner strength you didn’t know you had.

When you don’t align your weight loss goals to your values, you tend to fall back into old habits caused by superficial goals.

For instance, do you want to lose weight to look good on a vacation? Or to fit into an old pair of jeans?

Those aren’t bad goals. But they don’t dig down deep enough to matter to you in the long term.

However, when you take the time to know what your values are, what you want people to notice about your character, your weight loss goals will shift.

And when you connect your weight loss to your purpose, you gain new insight and strength to make better choices.

This isn’t as complicated as you might think. And the results are powerful.

Let me show you how you can find your values, align them with your weight loss goals, and start making progress the right way!

In “How to Align Your Weight Loss Goals and Values” we discuss:

  • Finding your “why” for weight loss
