Dinner ruined your whole day.
You were pretty successful for breakfast and lunch, and even skipped your afternoon snack.
But now it’s time for dinner, and your husband is hungry. Baked chicken and steamed veggies aren’t enough to satisfy his hearty appetite.
You’ve tried making a lighter meal for yourself, while fixing something more substantial to meet his needs. But the grocery bill went through the roof!
There’s no way you can afford to keep preparing two different dishes for every meal every day.
Every woman who’s ever lived with a husband who loves good old meat and potatoes, or kids who are picky, knows the struggle. Too often you end up eating foods that are less than healthy or that don’t meet your dietary needs.
Sure, tacos and cheeseburgers might hit the spot for your family. But they leave you feeling stuffed and unhealthy.
And even though you don’t want weight loss to be your primary goal, eating healthy food is vital to maintaining your weight.
Friend, I’ve been there, too. The truth is, our husbands—and even our kids—have different food preferences and dietary needs than us. It’s the way God made men and women.
Not only do we need different amounts of food, we don’t need the same nutrients to fuel our bodies. What works for him might not work for you.
You may be able to eat a salad and feel satisfied but his belly would rumble with hunger all night long!
So where’s the middle ground?
