Fully Nourished: The Story Behind the Message

Sometimes God calls us to do things we never planned to do.

Things that feel inconvenient, uncomfortable, or completely outside our skill set. And yet, deep down, we know they aren’t about timing or talent — they’re about obedience.

That’s exactly how Fully Nourished came to be.

For years, I never intended to write a book. I was focused on coaching women through food freedom inside the Grace Filled Plate Platinum program, watching transformation happen one heart at a time. Women weren’t just changing their eating habits — they were releasing emotional weight, shedding shame, and stepping into spiritual freedom they didn’t know was possible.

And that’s when it became clear: this message couldn’t stay contained.

So many women feel disqualified from serving God because of their bodies. They believe they need to reach a certain size, fix their relationship with food, or finally “get it together” before they’re worthy of being used by Him. Even saying it out loud sounds wild — yet so many of us quietly live this belief every day.

The world tells us to fix the outside first. Lose the weight. Follow the plan. Control the food. Then everything else will fall into place.

But that approach never works for long.

Trying to manage food without addressing the heart is like holding a beach ball underwater. You can push it down for a while, but eventually it explodes back up — bringing emotional eating, negative self-talk, and spiritual exhaustion with it.

Fully Nourished flips that order completely.

Instead of starting with rules, it starts with grace. Instead of control, it starts with gratitude. Instead of fixing yourself, it invites you to seek God first — trusting Him to do the transforming.

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
Matthew 6:33 (ESV)

When women begin from that place, something shifts. They stop missing meaningful moments because they’re uncomfortable in their bodies. They stop waiting to live until they feel “ready.” They create margin — and in that space, God fills them with purpose, connection, and freedom that food was never meant to provide.

This is the heart behind Fully Nourished. Healing doesn’t begin with behavior modification — it begins with spiritual nourishment. Once the foundation is full, practical health can finally grow from a place of peace instead of pressure.

If you’ve been stuck in guilt, shame, or the exhausting cycle of trying to fix yourself, this message is for you. Freedom isn’t found in holding it all together — it’s found in surrendering the right things first.

In “Fully Nourished: The Story Behind the Message” we discuss:

  • Why Fully Nourished was written as an act of obedience, not strategy
  • How starting with grace and gratitude changes the journey to food freedom
  • Why lasting change must begin on the inside before it shows up on the outside
