Platinum Coaching Call Sneak Peek: Abiding in Christ for Food Freedom

The other day, I caught myself rushing from one thing to the next—answering emails, starting dinner, folding laundry—barely taking a breath. By the afternoon, I felt drained, impatient, and honestly, a little defeated. I grabbed a snack without thinking, hoping it would give me the energy I was missing.

But deep down, I knew what I really needed wasn’t another cup of coffee or a handful of crackers. I needed connection—the kind that only comes from slowing down and abiding in Christ.

Life gets busy. Between the errands, the responsibilities, and the chaos of daily life, it’s easy to find ourselves running on empty—especially when it comes to our faith. That’s why John 15 has been on our hearts lately, offering a gentle reminder:

“I am the vine, you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit.” (John 15:5)

Abiding isn’t about striving or clinging with all your might. It’s about staying connected—resting in Him, drawing your strength from His endless supply. Like grapes on the vine, we don’t have to force growth. We simply stay close to the Source.

When we think about food and healthy habits, the same principle applies. Lasting change doesn’t come from white-knuckling our way through every decision. It comes from an internal seeking—a daily returning to Christ for peace, wisdom, and strength.

Whether it’s a stressful day, a busy season, or just the everyday ups and downs, abiding is our anchor. It’s an invitation to dwell in His presence, to trust in the shelter of His wings (Psalm 61:4), and to walk forward bearing fruit—not because we tried harder, but because we stayed closer.

We recently discussed this topic in-depth during one our Platimun coaching calls. We talked about what it means to abide in Christ, and what that looks like from a practical standpoint.
